This article will demonstrate how to submit your midterm or final grades to Banner through the Blackboard Learning Management System. Even if you have not used Blackboard for content or grades, you can still go through Blackboard to easily submit your midterm or final grades.
1. Navigate to Blackboard (https://blackboard.catawba.edu) and click to enter the course that you wish to submit grades for
2. Click on View Course & Institution Tools on the right side under the Books & Tools section found in Details & Actions pane of your main course page
3. Scroll down to locate and click on Submit Grades to Banner. If you do not see this option, you may need to click Browse all course tools at the bottom and locate it on the next page.
4. By default, you will be on the Midterm view. If you are wanting to submit final grades, click on the Final tab at the top of the page.
5. If you used Blackboard to record grades throughout the semester, you would see a score under the current grade and it will auto-populate the Final grade box. However, you can edit the Final grade. For example, if a student receives a 79 and it populates a C in the Final grade, you can click in the box and change it to a B if you need to.
6. Enter all the students' grades into the Final (or Midterm) grade column text box.
7. Enter any Last Attended Date, if needed.
8. Click Submit at the bottom of the page.
9. You should receive a confirmation of how many students’ grades were submitted.
